The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
